I submit for your consideration and possible reading or study on apologetics the following writers and their writings that have been and continue to be most influential. (Mark 9:49) Dr. David Hocking: davidhocking.org via radio, cd format, publications Dr. Chuck Missler: khouse.org via radio, cd format, publications and too many books to list here. This category of influential writers and thinkers of apologetic thought started their journey from the secular and atheistic world view to prove the Bible a fable or myth. Probing from a legal position or standpoint with bulldog tenacity the factual evidence for the truth of biblical Christianity. (Psalms 14:1) Lee Strobel: The case for Christ also in a Bible study, plus other publications and cd format. Josh McDowell: Beyond belief to convictions plus other publications, cd format. Ray Comfort: The Evidence Bible irrefutable evidence for the thinking mind, The School of Biblical Evangelism, plus many other publications, cd format. C. S. Lewis: no list would be complete without this man and his dear friend J.R.R. Tolkien, thank you sirs. I pray that these writers strengthen and give you courage in your quest to do the Master's will, during these times before us. (1 Corinthians 16:13) In the Lord's freedom always...........warrior on
Do I understand your question as looking for a study that examines how to use the Bible itself to defend and support Christian beliefs and practices? I don't personally know of a Bible-based study on apologetics, but, from the standpoint of sound apologetic literature, I have always found the Christian writings of C. S. Lewis, and, in particular, his book Mere Christianity, to be an enlightening and persuasive exposition and defense of Christianity and of what makes it unique among world religions.
Mary Jo Sharp has published several bible studies on apologetics through Lifeway. "Why Do You Believe That" is a good introduction to apologetics. "Living in Truth" provides believers with the skills to hold courteous conversations about their faith with unbelievers. Both are published through Lifeway, and the videos are included with the leader kits, and are also available as downloads from Lifeway.com.
