Atheism basically states that there is no God. Proverbs says that only a fool says there is no God..... It really boils down to whether one believes in the Creator God or not. If you do then there are responsibilities that come with that understanding. The first of which is faith-obedience! Romans 1:5 through whom [Jesus] we did receive grace and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, in behalf of his name. If we love God and His beloved son Jesus we will be obedient to all that He has revealed for us to do through His son Jesus who said that all the words he spoke were not his but what the Father gave him to say! If we keep those words God gave to Jesus to give to us then we will be building our house upon a rock - Jesus and nothing with prevail against us!

Ephesians 2:12 [KJV] says, "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:" Atheism is defined in the ISBE reference as "without God" (from the Greek atheos), as mentioned in Ephesians 2:12, and is characterized in the NAVE references by Psalm 10:4, which describes the wicked as not seeking God and having God absent from their thoughts, and by Psalm 14:1 (and Psalm 53:1), which declares that the fool says in his heart, "There is no God." The latter two Psalms full quotes are here: Psalm 14:1 [KJV] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Psalm 53:1 [KJV] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. The arguments against atheism are found in Job 12:7-25, which argues from creation and God's sovereignty over nature and nations, and in Romans 1:19-20, which argues that what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them, and that His invisible attributes are clearly seen in the things that are made.
