In my opinion, both Chist's kingship and priesthood are shared with his disciples (Rev 3:21), otherwise we would not be able to pray to the Father directly and receive responses. We would only be able to pray to Christ as our intercessor to the Father.
Christians only have a measured portion of the Melchizedek priesthood, just as they have a measured portion of the Holy Spirit; this is in distinction to Christ whose portion is without measure (John 3:34).
