I will only deal with one of the 2 named Lazarus mentioned in the Bible, the one in John 11-12.

Susan H. Peterson made up a whole hymn on "One Named Lazarus." Find it on hymnary. Lazarus was the one friend Jesus loved on which Jesus did his greatest miracle; He rose him from the dead. He had been sick for 4 days which Jesus knew about and even waited until this had happened. He knew that He would raise him from the dead. Usually bodies decay within that length of time, and this is what Martha told Jesus in warning him. "Lord, by this time he stinketh." But He who created Lazarus, the One who is the Miracle Worker, can do anything, even stop the stink.
