I don't know who coined this Christian phrase. However, I do know the Biblical reasoning behind it:

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The word "Careful" in verse 6, means anxious or stressed.

If we are giving our Creator the Praise and Thanksgiving that He deserves, we are truly to "Blessed" with the Peace of God that passes all understanding to be stressed or anxious about the little things in this world.

1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you

When we truly give thanks for everything, the painful and the pleasurable things in our lives, we will be blessed with the Peace of God according to Phil 4:7

As to who actually coined this very popular phrase, someone else will have to shed light on.

Be Blessed,
Lena

Marvin, I am so glad you asked that question! I used to have a Mexican coworker who ALWAYS said this.

There are a few variations of what the complete set of 3–4 phrases looks like:

The most common complete pairing:

"Too blessed to be stressed"

"Too anointed to be disappointed"

A longer version sometimes includes:

"Too grateful to be hateful"

The phrase "Too blessed to be stressed / Too anointed to be disappointed" is often attributed to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who has used it as a personal motto. However, the wording itself appears in Black church traditions and Christian inspirational poetry that predates his usage, so its exact origin is difficult to pin down.
