"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor 15:54-57

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Rev 21:4

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look forward to a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." 2 Pet 3:13

Here are some encouraging Scriptures to read concerning death:

Matthew 5:4
2 Corinthians 1:4
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Revelation 21:4 (this verse has already been mentioned by Thomas Cofie).

John 11:25-26 - Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" I have found this one to be universally helpful.

John 14:1-4 - “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” I have used this a lot as a pastor and even after I finished my pastorate.

1 Corinthians 15:26 - "The last enemy to be destroyed is death." (Short and sweet)

2 Corinthians 5:8 - Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Romans 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Revelation 14:13 - And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

Psalm 116:15 - Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Death is "the King of Terrors," Job 18:14, but Jesus is the King of Kings! (Revelation 19:16
"And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”)

Revelation 21:4 - "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." the divine handerchief
