This question intrigued me. I had to see what this was about. I found the book. Bought it, read it, and enjoyed it.

To the point, yes I can say the book is scriptural. It quotes a lot of Bible verses.

The idea of the text is that Jesus did not come to found a new religion. He came to break down any barriers between God and man. He came to save us and to exemplify how to live righteously.

Acts 13:43, "When the meeting broke up many Jews and devout converts followed Paul and Barnabas and in their talks with them Paul and Barnabas urged them to remain faithful to the GRACE God had given them."

Titus 2:12, "You see, God's Grace has been revealed to save the whole human race; it has taught us that we should give up everything contrary to TRUE RELIGION and all our worldly passions; we must be self-restrained and live upright and religious lives in this present world."

Religion is something that is done with a plan, or a prescribed method. Your daily routine, or weekly appointment, you might say. It is our pattern. But, is our pattern really following what Jesus taught? Is our religion really about touching the heart of God and honoring Him? Is our religion a practice of routine and nothing else?

Are we truly in love with Jesus, or are we following the dictates of an organization? We better be careful! Eternity is at stake!
