Rev. 20:11-12 and 2 Corinthians 5:10
Revelation 20:11 - 12
KJV - 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

In my opinion, Christians will be present at the "Great White Throne" judgment (along with the rest of all humanity from eternity past to eternity future), but will be judged with respect to receiving eternal life in God's presence based on the fact that their names will have been written in the book of life because of their faith in Christ (rather than in their own works) for their salvation. They will therefore be granted eternal life because of having had Christ's perfect righteousness imputed to them by God, and having had their sins forgiven by God for Jesus' sake. Those whose names are not written in the book of life will be judged according to their works, which will have been recorded in "the books" mentioned in the passage cited in the question, and which (because they did not place their faith in Christ during their earthly life, but trusted in their own righteousness) will be insufficient for them to receive eternal life, since they will have fallen short of the perfect holiness required by God to be in His presence. Christians will not be condemned on the basis of their works (as the unsaved will), but will be proportionately granted eternal rewards by God for their actions of love and service toward others that they performed out of gratitude to Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 3:11-13).
