My view is that the valley of decision is not a place, but rather, a personal decision that those at that time (near the great and terrible day of the Lord) will face due to their circumstances of deciding between following the antichrist or the warnings from God given for that time. It is a last appeal similar to finding that lost sheep or of Ruth gleaning the fields. Joel refers both to the valley of Jehosophat where the final battle between God and the rebellious nations occurs, and to a valley of decision in concert with his appeal to the warnings of the coming day of the Lord and the need for personal repentance. My view is that the valley of decision is not a place, but rather, a personal decision that those at that time (near the great and terrible day of the Lord) will face due to their circumstances of deciding between following the antichrist or the warnings from God given for that time. It is a last appeal similar to finding that lost sheep or a time similar to Ruth gleaning the fields that concludes the harvest.
