Why is the altar described in Ezekiel 43 made of 3 stone ledges?

Ezekiel 43:13 - 14

NKJV - 13 These are the measurements of the altar in cubits (the cubit is one cubit and a handbreadth): the base one cubit high and one cubit wide, with a rim all around its edge of one span. This is the height of the altar: 14 From the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits; the width of the ledge, one cubit; from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits; and the width of the ledge, one cubit.

My opinion is highly conjectural, but I believe the three ledges stand for the three altars offering sacrifices - the first built by Solomon, the second by Zerubbabel, and the third of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel's temple itself seems to be built after the 1000 year reign of Christ during the "little season" when satan is released (Rev 20: 3). This is suggested by the words of Christ in John 2:19: "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." The three days here would correspond to about three thousand years. In Luke 13:32 the three days are also mentioned: "Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected."
