All these questions can be answered as one answer because they are all part of the same Book and Chapter of Galatians:

Notable Questions
What is goodness (fruit of the Holy Spirit)?

What is joy (fruit of the Holy Spirit)?

What is kindness (fruit of the Holy Spirit)?

What is love (fruit of the Holy Spirit)?

What is patience (fruit of the Holy Spirit)?

The "fruit of the Spirit" includes specific attributes of a godly life that the Holy Spirit develops in our lives.

Galatians Chapter 5: ESV: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. 24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof. 25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk."

In Galatians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul lists nine virtues that the Holy Spirit produces in the lives of believers. These are presented collectively as a single "fruit" (singular) rather than multiple "fruits" (plural), indicating they represent a unified character.

The nine virtues are:

Love: Unconditional, sacrificial, and active caring for others.Joy: A deep, lasting gladness that is not dependent on circumstances.Peace: Harmony and tranquillity from a restored relationship with God.Patience (sometimes translated as forbearance or longsuffering): The ability to endure difficult situations and people without retaliating.Kindness: A tender, compassionate disposition toward others.Goodness: Moral excellence and integrity in actions. Faithfulness: Loyalty, reliability, and trustworthiness.Gentleness (sometimes translated as meekness): Humility, a quiet spirit, and strength under control.Self-control: The discipline to govern one's desires, passions, and impulses.

The purpose of the fruit of the Spirit is to transform a person's inward character to be more like Jesus and to demonstrate God's love to others. Rather than a checklist of rules, these virtues are the natural, organic result of a life connected to God.

This fruit acts as a witness to the world. By actively displaying patience, kindness, and gentleness under pressure, believers model the nature of God's kingdom. These traits act as an attractive testimony that points others toward the hope of the gospel.

They shape a Christ-like character, empowering individuals to live peaceful, loving, and purposeful lives.

These qualities reflect God's character and the behaviour of those living according to God's Spirit.

And when we participate with God, we're like new branches that are grafted into a living vine, which begin to yield the fruit of that vine (see John 15:1-11).

And because God is loving, patient, and always emanating peace, then as Christians, as we participate with God in worship, we will bear that same spiritual fruit, like love, patience, and peace.

The nine fruits Paul mentions in Galatians offer a summary sketch of what life in the Spirit looks like.

So, walking by the Spirit creates the conditions necessary for God to cultivate within us all the spiritual fruits mentioned in Galatians Chapter 5.
