Where in the New Testament is there any anticipation of a challenge like Islam?

In my understanding, there are a lot of discussions about false prophets;
but is there prophecy that anticipates the kind of huge Islamic challenge we're witnessing in the world?

Matthew 24:24

ESV - ²⁴ For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
