What happened to the evil spirits Jesus cast out of the man named "Legion" after the swine drowned? Did they cease to exist?

Luke 8:33

KJV - 33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

In my opinion, the evil spirits that Jesus cast out of the man were immortal beings. Although the swine into which Jesus sent them may have drowned, the spirits remained alive and active.

Even at the end of time, Satan and his demonic forces will not be killed, but will be confined and tormented eternally (Revelation 20:10).

My opinion is that the evil spirits (possessing spirits) begged Jesus not to command (send) them to the abyss (bottomless pit) so they begged Jesus for permission to enter into the swine and Jesus gave them permission.
Interesting is that Jesus gave them the word (permission) according to their request and Jesus hasn't given them another word since. I don't think Jesus will give them any more permissions to go else where from now on till He sends (commands) them to the bottomless pit. So in a nutshell they have sealed their fate in the bones of the swine until judgment day.

Yet you have made man a little lower than angels (Elohiym) and you have crowned him with glory and honour.

I hope you are blessed with my thoughts.

God bless you.
