When the scripture is read about Goliath people say David picked up 5 stones because Goliath had brothers. If one will read and understand, David did not know who Goliath was and did not know anything about possible brothers. He picked up 5 stones because God tells us to be prepared and ready for battle. David stood ready for what might be before him. He trusted in God.
