It depends on your beliefs and how we were raised. Pastors normally send their congregation out with blessings after the message. We can can bless those around us with random acts of kindness, mowing a yard, paying a meal, walking someone across the street. We can speak a blessing over our children, a new home. We all have the ability to speak blessings, we just need to be willing to follow God's direction for our lives.
All blessings come from God. I will always correct my wife when she directs me to “bless the food” on the table. I can ASK for a blessing through Jesus, but I cannot issue them. The moment Christ died on the cross, the curtain in the Temple that separated the holy of holies was torn from top to bottom by God, making the Beliver the Priest. We can take our requests to God directly, praying in Jesus’ name, but blessings, like salvation only come from God.
