There is no reference in the Bible where we are told that Satan can read our minds. He is a created celestial being who once held the position of an anointed Cherub.(Ezekiel28:14&15). We know him through the revelation given to us in the Holy Bible. Apart from the word of God we do not have any other way to know him. His throne is now in earth (Revelation 2:13). His rebellion is well explained in the previous article. However he has ability to put his thoughts in our hearts as he did with Judas Iscariot as we read in John 13:2 to further his plans. But the Scriptures tell us that he operates within the limits and authority given to him by The Lord. Recall the case of Job, all the problems and suffering he could bring in the life of Job after God permitted him. In the Book of of Revelation we are told time and again that he would create havoc because he would be permitted to create those troubles. Do not forget he sought permission to tempt Peter. But our Lord told Peter that He had already prayed for him so that his faith would not fail. He is interceding for us today also. Satan has the ability to steal God's word from our heart as we are told by Lord Jesus in Matthew13:19. Therefore let us be assured that Satan cannot read our minds. Only Lord Jesus and God the Holy Spirit and God the Father has that privilege. David says in Psalm 139:2 You understand my thought afar off.
My opinion is this subject is as follows: no, Satan can't read your mind. At godsbarnchurch.com under the 'origin of church' I tell of a battle with a demon. One of the words the Lord told me was this demon can't read your mind. Be very careful in what you say. In short, I had perceived in my heart to cast this creature out. I knew this in its presence yet the demon did not know that. Until I cast his out in the name of Jesus Christ. When I said Jesus Christ, it knew it then. But no they can't read your mind, only our Lord can do that.
