How did the Israelites remember all these details? (Numbers 28:14–15)

How did the Israelites remember all these details? (Numbers 28:14–15) and by implication how would that help us today?

Numbers 28:14-15 14With each bull there is to be a drink offering of half a hin of wine; with the ram, a third of a hin; and with each lamb, a quarter of a hin. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon during the year. 15Besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to the LORD as a sin offering.

I am in a small group of men who are memorizing weekly Bible verses that our pastor suggests our whole church memorize. As far as I know, we 3 men in our group are the only ones doing this and reciting them to each other regularly. We want help.

I would say that you have undertaken an admirable memorization project, but (in my opinion) the words that God spoke to Moses (in the passage cited in the question, as well as elsewhere) were also recorded in written form (just as they have been passed down to us today) so that those to whom the words were addressed would not have to rely only on memory.

In the case of passages that individuals wanted to commit to memory, I would say that it was done through multiple readings and oral repetition, in the way that you are doing it
