Why didn’t God require Cain’s life as punishment for murdering Abel since it seems inconsistent with His command in Gen. 9 verse 6?
Genesis 9:6
ESV - 6 Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.
