The rapture of the church happens before the 7 year tribulation. First Corinthians 15:51-53 and First Thessalonians 4:13-18. Jesus comes down and we meet Him in the clouds. He does not come back to earth until the end of the 7 years. At that point the 144,000 Jews, Revelation 7, that God protects during the tribulation will inhabit the earth and have children. We will come back to earth with Jesus at the end of the tribulation. We are going to rule and reign with Christ for the 1,000 years. Satan will be bound in hell for the thousand years of Christ's reign on the earth. At the end of the 1,000 years of peace on the earth, Satan will be loosed again for a little while. There will be one last battle at the end of the 1,000 years. We will be in our transformed spiritual bodies so can not reproduce. Just as Jesus was transformed when He ascended to heaven after 40 days on the earth after His resurrection. It is all in the book of revelation. The lion will lay down with the lamb and children can stick their hand in a cobra hole and not get bit. So Jesus will be ruling the earth during the 1,000 years. We will not go through the 7 year tribulation. John 3:36. It is for Israel who rejected Jesus as their Messiah when He was on earth 2,000 years ago. There will be so many Gentiles saved during the tribulation that no man can number. Revelation 7.
The short answer according with the Bible is that only Satan and his angels will inhabit the earth during this time (Rev 20:1-3), no one else will be alive on earth during the 1000 years. The prophet Jeremiah makes it abundantly clear that during this time no humans will be on earth (Jer 4:23-26). The 1000-year period that Christians generally refer to as "the millennium" is the period between the first resurrection (Rev 20:5, 6) and the second resurrection (John 5:28, 29). Simply said, the resurrection of the saved begins the 1000 years while the resurrection of the unsaved ends the 1000 years. Here is what the Bible say about these events: FIRST RESURRECTION - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 1000 YEARS The second coming of Jesus for His saints (Rev 16:18-21; Matt 24:30, 31). The saved dead raised to life and given immortality (1 Thess 4:16; 1 Cor 15:51-55). The righteous caught up into the clouds (1 Thess 4:17). The living wicked slain by the Lord (Isaiah 11:4). The unsaved dead remain in their graves until the end of the 1000 years (Rev 20:5). Satan bound for 1000 years on earth (Rev 20:1-3). God’s people enjoy eternity with God on the new earth (Rev 21:2-4). SECOND RESURRECTION - AT THE CLOSE OF THE 1000 YEARS Jesus’ return with His saints (Zech 14:5). Holy city settles on the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:4, 10). The Father, His angels, and all of righteous come with Jesus (Rev 21:1-3; Matt 25:31; Zech 14:5). The wicked dead are raised and Satan is loosed (Rev 20:5, 7). Satan tries deceives the entire world - the wicked surround the holy city and are destroyed by fire (Rev 20:8, 9). And finally, God's people enjoy eternity with Jesus.
