Yahweh (sometimes poorly translated/transliterated into Jehovah) is the personal/covenental name of God. It is used often of the Father in the OT but is also shared with God the Son.
Jesus also has the name "Yahoshua" (Jesus is a very loose translation and transliteration ran through several languages) that means "Yahweh brings salvation." His Earthly name specifically calls out His role as Savior and that He is God come in flesh.
This article has some great details on how Yahweh is used throughout scripture and highlights that God is self-existent, eternal, and relational: https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/why-it-matters-that-god-is-yahweh.html
Worth pointing out, that when we say ‘IS’ YHWH, we don’t mean that Yeshua ‘is’ the Father. Rather, that Yeshua ‘is’ YHWH by his nature.
If that makes sense ;-)
Yes, great point!
Yes, Jesus is God (Jehovah)
In Isaiah 43:11 He says, “I, yes I am Yahweh and there is no Saviour but Me”.
