The larger passage from which the verse cited in the question is drawn speaks of how God, through His strength, has protected (and continues to protect) Israel by judging and punishing the nations (such as Moab, as mentioned in Isaiah 25:10) that have opposed it. I would also say that the "everlasting" aspect of this protection has a dual prophetic application to the followers of Christ and the growth of Christianity, as represented by the ultimate, eternal victory that will be gained through faith in Christ, and that is celebrated in the feast of victory described in Isaiah 25:6-9, which is also spoken of (in almost identical language) in Revelation 21:4
The Hebrew content has "for in Yah, the Lord, a never-ending rock." The expression you referenced, "for in YAH; the Lord is everlasting strength," implies that in the event that we confide in the Lord from this time forward or from this time on, He will be an enduring Protector for us.
