I would say that the greatest example by far is the reconciliation of sinful humanity to a holy God that He Himself made possible through Jesus' sinless life, atoning death, and resurrection for humanity's redemption. (Paul spoke specifically of this as a reconciliation in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.)

This is not just a temporary (or temporal) reconciliation, since faith in Christ now makes it possible for humans to spend eternity in God's presence, rather than being forever separated from Him because of their sin.
