To me, Christians should be concerned about the end times in some ways, but not in others. They should assure that they are always spiritually ready for Christ's return by having placed their faith in Him for salvation, and by not engaging in activities that reflect or promote an attitude of non-concern or lack of spiritual preparation regarding His return (Matthew 24:38, 43), especially as they see signs of the end times given in the Bible occurring or being fulfilled. At the same time, they should not be so absorbed by the subject that they are led to take actions that are inconsistent with the stewardship that is expected of them regarding their use of the "time, talents, and treasure" that God has entrusted to them in this life and world for the purpose of exhibiting His love toward others, and of increasing the number of the redeemed. Most specifically, they should not take such actions out of purported knowledge (derived either on their own or from the teachings of others) as to when the end of the present age will be, since (as Jesus said in Matthew 24:36) no one knows the day or the hour when that will occur.
