John 3:18 Believers are no longer condemned, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. John 1:12 First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Those that are trusting in their own works are not saved. Romans 4:5-8 Faith alone apart from works which can not save sinners. The only unforgivable sin is the failure of individuals during their earthly lives to place their faith entirely in Christ in order to obtain the forgiveness of sin, the reconciliation to God, and the eternal life that He made possible through His atoning death and resurrection, and that can be obtained only through that faith, rather than through any actions or works (no matter how "good" by human standards they may be) that individuals can perform apart from that faith.
