His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’

Matthew 25:14 - 30

ESV - 14 For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

I believe that in order to hear the words "Well done my good and faithful servant", it will be because we have humbly submitted ourselves to the will of our Master, Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

As children of God, we have been entrusted with stewardship and we are required to be faithful over everything that we have been given to manage by the Holy Spirit.

We as the body of Christ must realize that everything belongs to God, and He is the One to Whom we must give an account.

I believe that there is no greater investment than sowing the Word of God into the hearts of mankind. The more the Word is sown, the greater the harvest of souls will be!

God looks for our faith and trust. This yields our good work toward Him.

A Christian is called to be like...

A soldier, 2:Timothy 2:3,4 - responsive to the Lord.

A farmer, 2:Timothy 2:6 - a consistent worker.

An athlete 2:Timothy 2:5 - have self control, because we have His help.

A worker, 2 Timothy 2:15 - rightly dividingg God's word so as not to misrepresent Him.

A vessel, 2 Timothy 2:20,21 - clean and useful for God.

A Fisherman - Matthew 4:19, catch others attention to the Gospel.

Salt - Matthew 5:13, make others thirst for God.

Light - Matthew 5:14-16 - Let Jesus shine through us.

Be a branch - John 15:5 - bear fruit because we are attached to the Vine.

Stewardship - 1 Corinthians 4:1,2 be careful with our gifts, work to advance God's kingdom.

Ambassador - 2 Corinthians 5:20 representatives to the lost citizens.

Living stone - 1 Peter 2:5 we 're the church, alive and moving.

Priest - 1 Peter 2:5,9,10 help others know God loves them.

Sourjourners - 1 Peter 2:11 our home is out of this world!

This is quite an agenda! But remember! He has sent us the Holy Spirit! We have help within, and an advocate above! On our journey we are not alone! By exercising faith, one day we shall receive a crown!

And hear...well done! Good and FAITHFUL servant!
