Why did Saul strip off his clothes as he danced and prophesied before Samuel? 1 Sam. 19:24

Samuel was conducting a service in which the group of prophets was prophesying. When Saul’s men came to capture David, they were overcome by the Spirit of the Lord and they also prophesied. However, when Saul came, he prophesied, danced, and stripped off his clothes. Why does Saul do this when apparently none of the others did?

1 Samuel 19:24

ESV - 24 And he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay naked all that day and all that night. Thus it is said, "Is Saul also among the prophets?

My understanding is that Saul removed his armor and royal robes, but would not have been completely naked, because of wearing a tunic under them. Perhaps the removal of his armor and royal robe symbolized the manner in which God intended to strip him of both his monarchy and his military role in leading Israel into battle. That same symbolism would not have applied or pertained to any of the others who were present.
