Is it ok to use tithe or giving money to a ministry where you’ll receive back something?

As I considered the question, my first thought was the intent of the heart. It sounds like the motive is one of selfishness, looking to receive something in return. And not as a means to support the needs of the people of God.

I believe that as believers we should give to honor the Lord (Proverbs 3:9-10), and to follow the example of Abraham in Genesis 14:20. In this account, Abraham gave to Melchizedek a tenth of everything by faith.

His giving was according to the promises of God, not according to the law that was given by Moses to the children of Israel some 430 years later. Galatians 3:17

I would like to say, that we should give, not to be blessed, but because we're already blessed. Ephesians 1:3: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."

I believe that we should give to honor our King and High Priest, who was appointed by God the Father, according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 5:5-6,10; 7:17 & 21

And lastly, the purest motive of all, is love. We should give out of our love for God, and as a way to show our gratitude for all of the wonderful things that He has done for us, through His Son. By whom we have received the blessing of sonship. All things should be done for the glorify of God our Father!
