What are some good reasons to memorize Scripture? It strengthens the believer (Psalm 119:92), makes him fruitful (Psalm 1:2-3), obedient (Psalm 119:11), improved prayer (John 15:7 --

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

In Genesis 31:2, the Lord God Almighty made an incredible promise to Jacob: “I will be with you.” Later, when walking through trials, Jacob cried out to God in prayer: “But you said, ‘I will surely do you good…’” (Genesis 32:12, emphasis added). Even Old Testament promises like these can fuel our Christian walk today (2 Corinthians 7:1). As heirs of God’s promises (Galatians 3:16,29), these can “jump-start” our prayer life too!

One last good reason to memorize Scripture is it leads to faith (Romans 10:17).

In my humble opinion a very causal assessment of our little sphere indicates the coming apart of many revered or trusted subsystems.

Personal responsibility is that quaint Biblical concept taught by generations of pioneering families that carved nations from pure wilderness. And so disparaged by the repressive welfare administrative state that carves nothing but a mountain of debt. (Luke 18:8)

The first pillar of any totalitarian state is to remove of all means the victims have to defend themselves against the state! The second pillar the REMOVALOF ALL MATERIALS THAT DO NOT PROMOTE THE STATE!

I would submit that it's the second pillar that presents the most danger to the state, the freely held thoughts and moral precepts that are separate from those the state wishes to impose. First and foremost one needs to have the mind of Christ embedded in themselves as this LAST YEAR taught, tribulations may come very quickly upon trusting human kind.

The priority for the body of Christ is to, first understand that a cosmic spiritual battle rages between the kingdoms of Light and darkness.
And second, we are soldier warriors in that army of Light with many great mightily deeds yet to be done. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Therefore the true battlefield is within the minds of those chosen victims, some of whom will reject the deceptive premise of victim hood as their only option!

Dependence upon any external sources such as the internet which can be altered or a written book that maybe quickly outlawed is not a good solid plan.

Or consider just forgetting your ten pounds of reference materials or having a dead electrical machine as you rush to the bedside of a loved one. Perhaps for the last time this side of eternity, or perhaps the horrific traffic accident where you hold the hand of someone's precious treasure!

Always be the BEST ambassador for Christ that you can be 24/7 and remember the greatest Words of comfort you can give, are those that you carry in your heart. (Galatians 4:16)
