What does granted mean? Chosen? So us coming to salvation is even through his grace, we didnt even originate that, correct?

NASB - 65 And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.

I would say that the questioner is interpreting the cited verse correctly. Faith is a gift from God, not something that we can claim credit for (although rejecting such faith would be our doing, not God's). The Greek word expressed as "granted" in the cited passage is most often translated into English in other Bible verses as "given", as indicated by Strong's concordance (https://www.biblehub.com/greek/strongs_1325.htm). To me, Paul was speaking of the same idea in Ephesians 2:8-9, when he said, "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves -- it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."
