What does it mean that, "God SO LOVED the world”? John 3:16
John 3:16 - 21
ESV - 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

The simplicity of the gospel. First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.
Since Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world, then He paid for all your sins and all of my sins. Since we have no sins to pay for, where do we go when we die? Heaven. Since Jesus paid the sin debt of everyone in the world, then we have eternal life.
John 3:18 Believers can no longer be condemned, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God.
All those who have believed on Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from any works, are given eternal life as a free GIFT. Paid in full by Jesus one blood sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
John 6:40. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. Gods word, and he cannot lie.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath (present tense) everlasting life. How long does everlasting life last? Forever. Since Christ died for every sin of everyone in the word, then those that accept it are given eternal life.
Those that reject it are not saved. Once we accept it we are saved forever.
For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You are either saved forever, or you are not saved at all.
First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. We know we have eternal life. Gods word. And He cannot lie.
