I humbly submit: Bible prophecy is a perfect vehicle in the mission of evangelizing people. But if we fall into the trap of constantly speculating, how the headlines of today fits into prophetic things, it may prove counterproductive. So great care and prayer must be exercised.

Also understand that the prince of the power of the air, MEDIA, creates an added complexity in a sometimes disorienting world system, which makes it enormously difficult for most to truly understand what is going on at any given time. That said, Scripture does give us the blueprint of the major players in those days, with regards to what must happen prior, during, and after.

Daniel 11 sets the scenario for the battle of Armageddon in the Jezreel valley initiated by "the kings of South" and responded to by the "kings of the NORTH" (RUSSIA) and a Western confederacy led by the Antichrist. And then "the kings of the East" makes it a four-prong power attack with their entrance.

Revelation 20:8: The Magog or Russian invasion of the middle East.

I submit that we are in season to witness the opening act of the MAJOR drama of history, as two future enemies are working together now. This will of course change at a future set time. (Isaiah 46:10)

Bottom Line:
The current fascinating Middle East Russian relationship with Israel is they continue to coordinate with each other on Syrian security issues.

Another outcome of this latest Russian aggression is that Israel has moved Ukrainian Jews out of harm’s way to Israel. Let’s pray that tensions cool in Europe, and perhaps lead to a greater Israeli security.

Scripture tells us to with an open mind, search the Scriptures daily. To prove whether anything said by anybody is really TRUE! Find out for yourself what is going on in China, Europe, the Middle East and this little sphere. Then form your own conclusions friend. (Acts 17:11)

Germany and Russia have a long history of conflict over the territories of Eastern Europe. During World War II, Adolf Hitler betrayed an agreement to divide Eastern European territory with Russia, and instead launched an invasion against Moscow, creating the most devastating image of World War II— millions were slaughtered before Germany’s defeat.

A ruined post-war Germany was split into two states: democratic West Germany and communist East Germany. The ensuing conflict between these nations’ supporters—NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organization) to the west, and the Soviet Union to the east—became known as the Cold War, as the United States took on the role of protector of the Western world against the protruding Soviet ambitions.

With the Cold War ending and the Soviet Union falling apart, Russia’s influence lessened, and a united Germany has become the political and economic leader of Europe, strongly supporting the European Union (EU) and forming closer economic and political ties with EU member nations.

Today, western parts of Ukraine tend to look westward seeking EU ties, while eastern Ukraine tends to look to Russia for support. Russia’s decision to invade Crimea is largely due to its desire to prevent EU and NATO influence from reaching their doorstep.

The situation gets more complicated because of Germany’s present need to purchase much of its gas and oil from Russia….one reason why German response to this crisis has so far been very calculated. Germany does not support Russian injecting itself into neighboring countries—especially those that could be future German allies—but wants to avoid another Cold War. However, if the U.S. does not act decisively, this would create a power probe into which Germany could insert itself in order to stop Russia from gaining greater influence in Eastern Europe.

Prophecy looks to Germany and Central Europe for the rise of a future world power (Revelation 13:1–10). This “Beast” will have one strong leader who is given authority over ten nations or groups of nations (Revelation 17:12–13; Daniel 2:41–43). As the United States declines because of its “sins”, nations in Europe, Asia and Africa collaborate into three major entities: the king of the North (the Beast-led Europe); the king of the South (an Arab-led confederation); and the kings of the East (an Asian coalition of nations, including Russia). Their interactions are spelled out in the books of Daniel and Revelation, where their names are in geographic position in relationship to Jerusalem.

The North and the East will maintain peace for a time, scripture reveals that after the North invades the South, the East will feel pressured to act (Daniel 11:40–44). A massive conflict between Europe and Asia will include armies of unimaginable size and the destruction will make World War II childsplay (Revelation 9:13–18). While Germany might seek peace with Russia for now, (because of the need for gas and oil) scripture teaches that there will be a final conflict between Europe and Asia immediately before Christ’s return.

Few today recognize the growing number of severe conflicts in the world will eventually lead to the destruction of mankind, a third of the population will perish in the coming war (Revelation 9:18). Christians should be alert by what has taking place in Ukraine, but also be encouraged by Christ’s words: “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28). It is inevitable all this will come to pass; however, we as Christians absolutely need to be praying for our country and its political leaders, that God will give wisdom and directions according to His will. As more sin prevails, our job as Christians becomes much more intense and interactive.
