The imminent return of Christ, as theorized by Arthur Pink, is based upon the early church expecting Jesus to return in their lifetime.
They expected Christ to return in their lifetime, because of John 21:23.
Jesus did return to John on the Isle of Patmos around 95 A.D., which fulfilled His prophecy.
When Christ will return was foretold in both Daniel 9:25a and Hosea 6:4
Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks (49 years) Daniel 25a NKJV
The command to restore Jerusalem was given by U.N. decree in 1948.
After two days He will revive us;
On the third day He will raise us up,
That we may live in His sight. Hosea 6:2 NKJV
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8 NKJV
Both Daniel 9:25a and Hosea 6:2 point to the year 2000 for Christ's return to Rapture His Bride the Church.
