Christendom, sad to say, has spawned its fair share of delusions. For certain notions - apart from faith alone in Christ alone - have become idolatrous or superstitious among the body of believers viz. Sabbath observance, water baptism, the Eucharistic elements, tithing, anointing oil, numerology, etc.

Make no mistake, faith alone in The Christ of God (Luke 9:20) qualifies a believer. It is not faith in faith, faith and baptism, faith and Eucharist, faith and works, faith and Church, faith and restitution, or any other concoction.

That faith and repentance are intrinsic components in salvation, what essentially defines the saint is faith - a saving believing faith in The Christ of God (Luke 9:20; Romans 10:9-13). Faith alone in Christ Jesus guarantees eternal security. The rest is commentary.
