Demons are real indeed. They exist. Unfortunately most churches are not knowledgeable or have experience in this matter to help out effectively. First, you need to be really serious about wanting to be set free. Deliverance and the casting out of demons is a serious matter and not to be taken lightly. Some folks want to do it but do not have the heart or desperation to carry it through. You need to really ask yourself if you truly want to get out of this unholy relationship and will do whatever it takes to be set free. God cannot force you to be free. Only you have the power to decide. There are two key aspects to deliverance. Knowledge You will have to do your part to learn about demonology so that you can understand how demons work, how to fight them and how to prevent them from coming back. Matthew 12:43-45 When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. 44 Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. - Jesus Unfortunately, acquiring this knowledge is beyond the scope of this relatively short answer. You need to build your own faith because victory comes through faith, in the name of Jesus. Practical Experience You will need to seek help from fellow believers who have actually expelled demons before. This cannot be over-emphasized. You can read all you want about swimming, but unless you have actually swam, it is all just theory. Deliverance requires practical experience to be effective. You will not be able to do this on your own, without help. Unfortunately, most Christians living in the west are not familiar with this subject matter. I am originally from Thailand and spiritual warfare is both real and common over there, and in many other parts of the world. Your best bet is to locate a local church that is both knowledgeable and also very experienced in successfully casting out demons. It will not be easy but God always provides. If you are unable to locate one, please get in touch with us (see our church info below) and we'll see what we can do to help you or connect you to someone local who may be able to help. Unfortunately this is not something that can be addressed by simply reading an article. Spiritual warfare is personal, dirty, messy and dependent on so many factors to be successful. It is like performing surgery. You don't want a doctor who has only read medical books but never performed a single surgery. You want someone who has actually done it a thousand times to remove that malignant spirit from your life. Pastor Lao New Hope International Church, Bellevue, WA www.newhic.org [email protected]
An authentically born-again Believer in Jesus as Savior cannot be possessed by a demon. No filthy maggot demon is going to occupy the same space as the Holy Spirit. It is physically impossible for a demon to have sex with a born-again Believer. Read John 14:6, John 3:16-17, John 3:3, John 5:24, and then confess Romans 10:8-13. Find peace and rest in Jesus.
If this is happening it sounds very distressing hopefully this may help, What is one way that you can resist wicked spirits and protect yourself and your family from their snares? First-century Christians in Ephesus who had practiced spiritism before becoming believers took positive steps. We read that “quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody.” (Acts 19:19) Even if you have not practiced spiritism, get rid of anything having spiritistic uses or overtones. This includes books, magazines, videos, posters, musical recordings, and objects used for spiritistic purposes. Also included are idols, amulets and other items worn for protection, and gifts received from practicers of spiritism. (Deuteronomy 7:25, 26; 1 Corinthians 10:21) To illustrate: A married couple in Thailand had long been harassed by demons. Then they got rid of objects associated with spiritism. What was the result? They were relieved of the demonic attacks and thereafter made real spiritual progress. 15 In order to resist wicked spirits, another necessary step is to apply the apostle Paul’s counsel to put on the complete suit of God-given spiritual armor. (Ephesians 6:11-17) Christians must fortify their defenses against wicked spirits. What does this step include? “Above all things,” said Paul, “take up the large shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles.” Indeed, the stronger your faith, the greater will be your ability to resist wicked spirit forces.—Matthew 17:14-20.
Was the spirit invited or not, there are spells that are used to invite this if this has happened it needs to be denounced. If it was not invited seek help with having the demon cast from you bc it isn't living in you but tormenting you, this is very real I was never tormented on a daily basis but it has happened twice in my life...thank God for a praying mother who walked the halls and anointed, call on the name of Jesus Satan has to flee.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (Mark 16:17 KJV), you can only stop unknown spirit or demon by Jesus name but first you need to confess your sins and believe Jesus without this no other way. God bless you.
Jesus had the power to cast out demons. If Jesus lives in us we have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead living in us. James 4:7 says "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. You are able to do it yourself, so pray and ask the holy spirit to lead you.
You can do so through prayer, disconnect yourself from this spirit in Jesus name and break any altar this is coming from.
