It is possible that some of these questions and answers apply to those of us who were not able to make children in our bodies, so we adopted children who have TWO other parents. Birth mothers can be considered surrogates, if you will. However, in our own case, we did not choose the mother, the timing, nor the father. We took what we were presented with (which is actually how it works with biological birth, I seem to recall, although the parents are not in question). God gives us the children He means us to have; I firmly believe that after raising our two now-grown sons.
