1 Cor. 11:25 and Heb. 9 say that Jesus’ death enacted a new covenant. Heb. 9:16 says that a will is not in force until the one who made it dies. Who made the covenant? God. So who had to die? God. How could God die? By becoming human. Aside from that crucial fact, he also took on our suffering (Isaiah 53) and sympathizes with our weaknesses (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:14-16). This is what it took to defeat the devil’s claims on us, since he had to be like us in order to save us. He also came to be an example of how we should live.
Genesis first chapter,"In the beginning, God created..." You obviously know that Jesus is God incarnate. So why is this significant? When you have a problem, or a situation, what do we do? It's natural to seek help or advice from someone who has experience with the problem. Jesus has physically experienced what it is to be human. Therefore, we know He understands. We know we can trust Him. God knows our every need. He has provided for everything. He has given us a "How to manual."
