Legalism is trying to keep the commandments of God for the purpose of being declared righteous.

Trying to keep the commandments of God because you love God is not legalism, it is to show respect for the commandments and love for God.

There's nothing bad or negative about trying to keep God's commandments. So if the purpose of this question is to promote the idea that trying to keep God's commandments is legalism, then the purpose and the idea of the question are wrong.

You can't make doing what is good to do (keeping God's commandments), not good. Legalism is not good.
