Where/how do you draw the line between helping someone and allowing someone to take advantage of you?

In the midst of your self-sacrificing and being "used-up" by Holy Spirit, Christian, beware of to whose voice you are listening.

Ensure your leading is not that of the demon of "burden bearing" for others!

Blessings all!

Gary, what do you mean by the demon of "burden bearing" of others? I've never heard that expression before.

Thanks for your question, Brenda.

"Burden bearing" is a challenge some with the Gift of Helps and others can experience. Its common manifestation is hurting more than another who needs ministry for a problem they, not the potential minister, has.

It is a significant teaching of John & Paula Sandford in their books on prayer ministry.

For more background on them, see http://goo.gl/O5h2AF, and on
the problem, you can Google it or buy a Sandford book.

Hopefully, the above is helpful.

Blessing in Jesus, Gary
