According to Strong's Concordance (viewable at https://biblehub.com/greek/strongs_3900.htm), the Greek word translated as "trespass" or "trespasses" (Anglicized as "paraptoma") appears in 21 different verses in the New Testament. These verses (as rendered in various English Bible translations), express the word as "transgressions", "offenses", "fall", "fault", and "sins".

As indicated by those similar words, the idea of "trespass" involves wrongdoing -- a violation of God's Law (summarized by Jesus in Matthew 22:34-40), with respect to our behavior either in relation to Him, or toward our fellow human beings.
