First, I would say that, despite the wisdom of its author (Solomon), Ecclesiastes is written from a worldly point of view, apart from divine revelation of a post-life existence, as multiple commentaries on the book have concluded from the repeated use of the phrase "under the sun" to describe the perspective from which Solomon is speaking. I would also note that, whatever condition human remains from ages past may currently be in, that condition poses no impediment to an omnipotent God (who originally spoke the entire universe into existence from nothing) from reconstituting them in whatever manner He chooses, and restoring them to life (1 Corinthians 15:42-58).
