This question, though thoughtful and very current, given the political climate of our country today, is not hard to answer. Our world is not God's Kingdom. Jesus said it very plainly (John 18:36). We are also directed to obey civil authority (Matthew 22:21) (Romans 13:1-7). Since the president of the United States governs through our Constitution, establishing civil law and religious freedom, it is not really a Christian question. Whether or not she is your pastor is something completely different. Yes, according to our Constitution and the Bible, a woman can be elected president of the secularly constituted United States. Whether or not she should be elected is up to all legal voters in our great country. And thank God for that freedom.
I (a male) have been praying that all nations would have a woman leader someday. I believe that there would be less suffering in the world. There is likely to be fewer wars and less suffering within each nation. Women are more compassionate and nurturing than men. There is a good possibility my prayer will be answered. There are more women than men in universities today. Women have stronger character. Micro banks lend to women only, not men. Women work the fields in many African countries where there are no farm equipment. These are just a couple of (not very good) examples. Actually, I do not care how God brings about making earth like it is in heaven. One sure way is for Jesus to return - part of my most frequent prayer. God Bless
