The verse that occurs to me in connection with the question are the words of the glorified Christ in Revelation 2:10 (Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.) To me, in the final analysis, regardless of what hardships we may experience in this life and world, any such difficulties fade into insignificance compared with the joy and eternal duration of the rewards that ultimately await believers who remain faithful.
(1) My God lifts me when I’m down. When I falter—whether from weakness, grief, or failure—He doesn’t abandon me. He sees me weighed down by life’s burdens and, with tender care, reaches out to hold me steady. Like Psalm 37:24 (my life verse) reminds me, "even if I fall, I won’t stay down, because the Lord takes hold of my hand." When I’m bowed low, He lifts my face. When I’ve lost the strength to keep going, He leans down, meets me where I am, and helps me rise again. (2) My God provides my daily food. Every living creature looks to Him with open mouths and empty stomachs—and He doesn’t disappoint. He is the One who feeds the lion its prey (Job 38:39), clothes the fields with grain (Ps 147:8), and satisfies even the birds who do not sow or reap (Matt 6:26). I’m not forgotten in the crowd of creation. When I’m hungry, He sees. When I have a need, He opens His hand. He is the Giver of food to all flesh (Ps 136:25), and He delights in meeting even my simplest, physical needs. Here's a hymn relating to the 2nd thing God does (gives us food): The former and the latter rain, The summer sun and air, The green ear and the golden grain, All Thine, are ours by prayer. ~ John Keble
