The concept of being "on fire" for Jesus often refers to a fervent, passionate, and zealous devotion to God, fueled by the Holy Spirit. Scriptures like Luke 12:49 ("I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!") and Acts 2:3-4 (the disciples being filled with the Holy Spirit, which manifested as tongues of fire) are often used to illustrate this idea. These verses suggest that God desires His followers to be filled with His Spirit and to have a burning desire to spread His love and truth, in obedience to Jesus' parting command in Matthew 28:19-20.
