Mat 10:28: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. But rather fear him, is that God or Satan? If that is God, does He ever destroy a soul in hell?
Matthew 10:28

Bro. Bernhard, I would like to share that in this passage of scripture, Jesus was speaking to his disciples about the fear of the Lord, not Satan, as opposed to the fear of man. God is greater than man and should be feared or revered by all! Whatever the Word of God says is the truth, so with that being said, yes, God has the power to destroy both soul and body in hell (Gehenna in the Greek). While it is important to fear the judgment of God towards all who rebel against Him or reject His salvation through Jesus Christ, we must stay within the context of this scripture. Jesus was warning his disciples about suffering persecution for being his followers. Which is the reason why he made the statement in verse 28.
