Will the false Christ be from the tribe of Judah?

Israel is looking for their Messiah to come. Will he have to fulfill the prophecy that was written about Jesus? Like being from the tribe of Judah. Born in Bethlehem? It would seem to me that he would have to for the Jews to accept him. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.

Revelation 13:1 - 10

ESV - 1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.

Daniel, this is a great question! I read several passages of scripture, such as, Daniel chapters 9-12; Matthew 24; 2Thessalonians 2:1-12; and Revelation 13.

We know that no one could fulfill the prophecies of the Messiah but Jesus Christ Himself.

These passages reveal the nature of the Antichrist, and how he will gain the trust of Israel through deception and flattery. The world that has rejected Christ as Savior and Lord as well.

So, I do not believe that he will have to prove to Israel that he is their Messiah. Jesus proved that He was their Messiah, and they still rejected Him because of the hardness and blindness of their hearts (unbelief).

Until this day, many of the Jews are still blind because they still do not believe that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God. There is still a veil upon their minds according to 2Corinthians 3:14.

Paul reveals in 2Thessalonians 2:11, that God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie. These are the ones who will fall away from the truth; and I believe this includes Jews and Gentiles alike.

I would like to add to what has already been pointed out. The antichrist, as he's commonly known, is said to come up out of the sea (Rev. 13:1). The sea in the Old Testament represents the gentile nations (Daniel 7:2,3; Isaiah 17:12,13).

The false prophet, the second beast, instead comes up from the land, which I believe denotes "the land" of Israel. His second identifier is that he has two horns 'like a lamb.' We know who the Lamb is: the Jewish Son of David
But this second beast, while he outwardly appears as a Jew, speaks like a dragon.

I say all this to show that the antichrist will be a non-Jew, but the false prophet will be a Jew; but why? It's been pointed out that the Jewish people will not accept a non Jew as a prophet. The false prophet will be the Pied Piper to lead the nation to give their allegiance to the first beast.

Remember that Jesus said: "I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him." (John 5:43). In other words, Jesus came in His Fathers name, with everything that implies. He came in accordance with the prophecies that the prophets had spoken in His Father's name.

The antichrist will have no such pedigree, but apparently, after making the seven-year agreement with Israel and allowing the temple to be rebuilt, his coming in his own name won't be an issue. He will have the Jewish false prophet presenting him as the messiah or, perhaps more likely, a messianic figure of some sort.

This follows God's pattern, which the devil will always try to copy. John the Baptist was the herald/forerunner for the true Christ; the false prophet will play that role for the false one.
