The subject is far too large for 4000 characters, but from looking back to the early church it would seem that the early church up to about 300AD was Pre-millenialist in their teaching, when there was a gradual change, the church becoming more Gentile and in general attributing the death of Jesus to the Jews, this of course led to the teaching of the church changing to Amillenialism which came to be general accepted about 250 to 300 AD, (as did Postmillenialism) today this teaching is known as Replacement Theology. Augustine was the main teacher regarding Amillenialism, a teaching that prevailed until the mid 1800s when the teaching of Premillenialism was revived.
