The bible in acts 20:7 gives an indication that the Lord supper, which was referred to as breaking of bread, was observed every Lord's day by the early Church. So observing it every Lord's day is the closest found in the bible. Christians were not left to decide how often to celebrate the Lord's supper on their own, but there was a template set down by the Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ: Every Lord's day.
