The book of Job asks the question about an afterlife very simply: "If a man dies, will he live again?" (Job 14:14). Asking the question is easy, but the difficult part is finding someone to answer ...

I would like to provide Godly encouragement. 11 years ago, I was on the phone with a fellow parishioner, we were on the prayer team and praying on the phone.

The last thing I recall was lights out. I dropped dead from a heart attack in my living room. I crashed through a glass and wood coffee table I had. My friend heard this and became alarmed when I didn't answer.

As I said, the first thing I saw was lights out, the very next thing I knew was, I was in some sort of tunnel and it seemed alive in some way. The walls would circulate color for lack of a way to articulate it. I recall the perfect stillness in this tunnel and the feeling of weightlessness. It was wonderful!

I recall looking to my left and seeing myself on the floor of this tunnel, I did not recognize myself and when I did I was confused. I then looked to the right and saw the opening at the other end, very far away and a brilliant incredible white light at this opening. Then I saw a small figure standing in this opening.

The figure moved into the tunnel and started toward me. I could feel unbelievable feelings of love, peace and immense power. As this figure got closer, the feelings were more intense and at some point I was on the floor of this tunnel due to the power that flowed from this person.

When he got just about even with me, I could see it was Jesus. I saw everything about Him but His eyes, they were blocked from me seeing them. I recall how beautiful he was and the power that came out of Him was unreal, I cannot find words to convey this fact.

He never said a word to me; He picked me up, held my head to his His chest and held my legs across His lap. I recall looking up to my left and His face was about 6 inches from mine. He is SO beautiful.

He filled me with something as He held me; I do not know what, but I could feel it and it was unbelievable. The next thing I knew I was waking up under the table I crashed through and felt horrible. I don't know how long I was dead but I felt terrible. I crawled to the door to get air and my friend and his wife were pulling in my driveway.

I told them what happened, they took me to the hospital and I learned I had a massive heart attack and needed open heart surgery. My aortic valve was bleeding out and my aorta had a huge aneurysm.

I realize this is a lot to ask someone to believe, but I am telling the truth. There is really a Heaven and a Father, a Son and the Holy Spirit. Please be encouraged by this. God had a purpose for me to experience this and I believe a lot of it is for the encouragement of people.

He lives! My account is not glamorous like a lot of stories out there but I am forever grateful to our Father for my experience. I truly hope this helps anyone who reads it.
