Is there an online Bible study guide?

I really want to grow in my walk with the LORD. I feel to do so, I need to be in the WORD more, however, I don't really like reading without a purpose. I like to have a guideline for reading like questions to answer while reading, things to think about, ect. There are a lot of books you can buy with great studies, "Waking up Sleeping Beauty" "Rips and Tears" are great studies ive done in the past, I have done many others as well. But the books are bulky and hard to take to school along with EVERYTHING else. Is there a website I can go to, or a guideline I can follow somewhere without buying a book study?

Nece,
There is really no substitute for reading God's Word, period. The only way we can verify the validity of what is being professed, taught and preached is by comparing it with the Bible. Interpreting the Bible isn't that hard, understanding what the Bible actually says is the challenge.

One of the main resources I use is blueletterbible.org. You can do a word or partial phrase search to locate scripture passages plus Strong's concordance and Vine's dictionary. They also have text and audio study tools and much more under the study tab, all free.

If you are looking for warm fuzzies, "16 steps to true spirituality" or a pat on the back do not go here! If you truly have a desire to understand what God's Word is saying check out http://www.davidhocking.org/. at Hope For Today.
He has a free 25-30 minute audio Monday through Friday and is currently in the Book of Hebrews. They also offer downloadable.mp3's and CD's/DVD's covering complete books of the Bible. I personally have quite a collection of his lessons and sermons.

I understand David has a minor in ancient history, studied Greek and Hebrew for 9-10 years and has doctorates in theology.

What do I like best about him? The man truly loves the Lord and even with his extensive education has the ability "to put the cookies on the bottom shelf." He has been a tremendous blessing to me and my wife.

Nece, good question. I use the "One Year Bible Blog" to read through the Bible in a year (Psalms you read through twice).

I, too, use (and google this:) Online Study Guides

Free Bible Study Lessons
https://studyandobey.com
We offer free Bible study lessons chapter by chapter on over thirty books of the Bible. Questions and verse by verse commentary for self-study or small groups.

But I also trust Free Online Bible Study - The Navigators
(google the above).
