How do you suggest that we find our Jonathan connection, or do you believe the Lord will strategize this connection as he did in the case of Jonathan and David? 1Samuel 18:1-4 a part of it reads that David and Jonathan's souls were tied together.

God's nature is relational as a Triune Being, and since we're created in His image, we naturally long for deep and meaningful relationships. From the very beginning, God said that it wasn't good for man to be alone, then He created Eve so that Adam would have a companion. Just as He had compassion on Adam and created Eve for him, I also believe that God works on our behalf to help us connect with people in meaningful ways, and we see many examples of deep friendships in the Bible, as well as many verses that give advice about friendship (see Pr. 12:26, Pr. 17:17, and Pr. 22:11 for a few examples). It has been my own experience that the people with whom I'm closest are those with whom I've labored the most for a common cause, such as my husband, my coworkers, prayer partners, and partners in ministry. There is something about "fighting in the trenches" together that fosters deep friendship and loyalty like nothing else. I think that this is one of the reasons why David and Jonathan were so close; they were united in war against common enemies and had a similar fighting spirit. Paul cultivated many close friendships and speaks fondly in his epistles of his colaborers in Christ, specifically mentioning them by name (see Romans 16, for example). If you're looking for that kind of close connection in a friend, I would suggest that you start by getting involved with other believers in prayer groups, ministry groups, or some kind of fellowship group with your church or a parachurch organization. God bless you!
He was Davids best friend but more than that He encouraged David And Jonathan, Saul's son, rose and went to David at Horesh, and strengthened his hand in God. 1 Sam 23:16
